FI 302 · Business Finance
The financial objectives of a business, sources of capital, and managing assets, with a framework for financing, investing, and dividend decisions.
FI 302 is Culverhouse's business finance course, and students get a limited number of attempts at it. That's a good reason to fix a weak spot early instead of hoping the next exam goes better.

Students are limited to three attempts, not counting withdrawals. If the first midterm went badly, get help before it becomes a pattern.
Debt, equity, and the cost of each feel abstract until you work real numbers. We do that until they don't.
NPV and IRR show up on every exam. We make sure you can build the cash flows, not only plug them in.
Send me what you're stuck on: a problem set, slides, your last midterm, a practice exam, last week's quiz.
You walk me through a problem out loud. It usually takes a few minutes to hear where the reasoning goes sideways. We fix that piece and rebuild from there, so you know why each step works.
The real test: a fresh problem with new numbers and different wording, the way a midterm would ask it, and you solve it yourself. I don't complete assignments or hand over answers. You leave able to do the work.

Yes. We'll go back to where it stopped making sense and rebuild from there, so the next attempt feels different.
Yes. Send me the syllabus and I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit.
Tutoring on concepts and practice problems is generally fine, but policies on graded work vary by course. I don't complete graded assignments. Check your syllabus's collaboration policy, and if you're unsure, ask your professor.
Tell me your course and what isn’t clicking. I’ll tell you honestly whether I can help.
