Where students get stuck.
Nobody has old exams yet
Older AP courses have years of released questions to practice with. This one doesn't. Students need practice written to the course framework, and that's what the 940-question bank is for.
The math sneaks up
Interest, credit costs, and investment returns look simple until a question stacks two of them together. We practice those until the setup feels automatic.
Business words sound like everyday words
Revenue, profit, equity, and return all have exact meanings on the exam. Students who use them loosely lose points they actually knew.
For parents
Most AP sessions are booked by a parent. Send me the course, the school, and what's giving your student trouble. Your student joins on Zoom, and I work from their actual class materials so tutoring supports what the teacher is doing.
Diagnosis first. Then the fix.
- 01
Before we meet
Send me what you're stuck on: a problem set, slides, your last midterm, a practice exam, last week's quiz.
- 02
On Zoom
You walk me through a problem out loud. It usually takes a few minutes to hear where the reasoning goes sideways. We fix that piece and rebuild from there, so you know why each step works.
- 03
Before we finish
The real test: a fresh problem with new numbers and different wording, the way a midterm would ask it, and you solve it yourself. I don't complete assignments or hand over answers. You leave able to do the work.

Studied it. Worked in it. Now I teach it.
I’m Chi Odogwu. I have a B.S. in Business with a finance specialization from Liberty University, earned summa cum laude in three years, and a Master’s in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis. I tutored IB students in grad school, did valuation and private equity consulting at PwC, taught MBA finance at Florida State, and spent three years as an adjunct professor teaching Business Finance.
Before you book.
When is the first AP Business with Personal Finance exam?
May 2027. Students taking the course in the 2026 to 2027 school year are the first group to sit the exam.
Can we start before the course gets hard?
Yes, and it's the best time. A weekly session through the year keeps small gaps from turning into big ones before the exam.
Do you work with students at private schools?
Yes. Everything happens on Zoom, so it doesn't matter where the school is. I work from whatever materials your student's class uses.
Is tutoring allowed under my school's honor code?
Tutoring on concepts and practice problems is generally fine, but policies on graded work vary by course. I don't complete graded assignments. Check your syllabus's collaboration policy, and if you're unsure, ask your professor.
Bring the problem you’re stuck on.
Tell me your course and what isn’t clicking. I’ll tell you honestly whether I can help.
