IGCSE and A-Level Economics, diagram by diagram.
Economics comes down to a diagram you can draw cold and a paragraph that explains what moved. Plenty of students follow the theory in class and then stall in the exam. I hold a master's degree in international economics and finance. We work from your student's class notes and exam board.

Where students get stuck.
Diagrams with no explanation
Examiners want the shift labeled and then put into words. We draw and write the explanation in the same sitting, over and over, until your student stops needing the notes.
Evaluation
Saying a policy works is the easy part. The harder part is who it helps, who it costs, and how long it takes. We practice that on real essay questions.
Data response
A table of numbers makes a lot of students freeze. We practice finding the one figure that matters and tying it back to the concept.
For parents
Send me your student's year, exam board and exam dates. Sessions run on Zoom at a time that suits your time zone, and we use your student's own notes.
Diagnosis first. Then the fix.
- 01
Before we meet
Send me what you're stuck on: a problem set, slides, your last midterm, a practice exam, last week's quiz.
- 02
On Zoom
You walk me through a problem out loud. It usually takes a few minutes to hear where the reasoning goes sideways. We fix that piece and rebuild from there, so you know why each step works.
- 03
Before we finish
The real test: a fresh problem with new numbers and different wording, the way a midterm would ask it, and you solve it yourself. I don't complete assignments or hand over answers. You leave able to do the work.

Studied it. Worked in it. Now I teach it.
I’m Chi Odogwu. I have a B.S. in Business with a finance specialization from Liberty University, earned summa cum laude in three years, and a Master’s in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis. I tutored IB students in grad school, did valuation and private equity consulting at PwC, taught MBA finance at Florida State, and spent three years as an adjunct professor teaching Business Finance.
Before you book.
Do you tutor both IGCSE and A-Level?
Yes. The diagram, data response and evaluation skills carry across both, and sessions follow whichever course your student is taking.
Which exam boards do you cover?
Tell me the board when you book. I work from your student's syllabus and past papers.
When should we start before the exams?
Sooner is better. A weekly session through the final year keeps gaps small. A few focused sessions in the spring still help if we aim them at the weak topics.
Is tutoring allowed under my school's honor code?
Tutoring on concepts and practice problems is generally fine, but policies on graded work vary by course. I don't complete graded assignments. Check your syllabus's collaboration policy, and if you're unsure, ask your professor.
Bring the problem you’re stuck on.
Tell me your course and what isn’t clicking. I’ll tell you honestly whether I can help.
