West LA students juggle demanding schools with everything else in their lives. California will require a semester of personal finance for public high school students in the class of 2030 to 2031, and the city's independent schools write their own courses. I work from whatever your student's class uses.

The newest AP course, with the first exam in May 2027. I've mapped all 5 units and 31 topics and built 940 practice questions.
Students home from USC, UCLA, and colleges across the country often bring their hardest class with them. Winter break and summer are the best time to fix corporate finance before the next exam, and I teach it at the level their course expects.
Between school, activities, and travel, fixed weekly slots don't always work. We book around your student's real week.
Students interested in media and entertainment want to know how deals and budgets actually work. The finance underneath is the same, and we teach it.

Parents usually book, and your student joins on Zoom from Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Bel Air, Pacific Palisades, or anywhere in LA. Send me the course and what's giving your student trouble, and I'll tell you honestly whether I can help.

You walk me through a problem out loud. It usually takes a few minutes to hear where the reasoning goes sideways. We fix that piece and rebuild from there, so you know why each step works.
The real test: a fresh problem with new numbers and different wording, the way a midterm would ask it, and you solve it yourself. I don't complete assignments or hand over answers. You leave able to do the work.

No. I work from the teacher's materials and never complete graded work, so sessions support the class instead of replacing it.
Tutoring on concepts and practice problems is generally fine, but policies on graded work vary by course. I don't complete graded assignments. Check your syllabus's collaboration policy, and if you're unsure, ask your professor.
Tell me your course and what isn’t clicking. I’ll tell you honestly whether I can help.
