Public, independent, and Catholic schools all handle business and finance differently. We work from your student's own course.
Orange County families plan for college early, and finance is one of the subjects students most often wish they'd started sooner. California will require a semester of personal finance for public high school students in the class of 2030 to 2031.

A one-semester personal finance course becomes a graduation requirement for public high school students in the class of 2030 to 2031.
The newest AP course, with the first exam in May 2027. I've mapped all 5 units and 31 topics and built 940 practice questions.
Students home from college often bring their hardest class with them. Winter break and summer are the best time to fix corporate finance before the next exam, and I teach it at the level their course expects.
Business electives sound light until the finance unit arrives. We get ahead of it.
Mortgages and property values come up constantly in Orange County. We use them to teach interest, leverage, and risk.
Interest, minimum payments, and credit scores are easy to mix up. We make each one concrete.
Parents usually book, and your student joins on Zoom from Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Irvine, or anywhere in Orange County. Send me the course and what's giving your student trouble, and I'll tell you honestly whether I can help.
Send me what you're stuck on: a problem set, slides, your last midterm, a practice exam, last week's quiz.
You walk me through a problem out loud. It usually takes a few minutes to hear where the reasoning goes sideways. We fix that piece and rebuild from there, so you know why each step works.
The real test: a fresh problem with new numbers and different wording, the way a midterm would ask it, and you solve it yourself. I don't complete assignments or hand over answers. You leave able to do the work.

I’m Chi Odogwu. I have a B.S. in Business with a finance specialization from Liberty University, earned summa cum laude in three years, and a Master’s in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis. I tutored IB students in grad school, did valuation and private equity consulting at PwC, taught MBA finance at Florida State, and spent three years as an adjunct professor teaching Business Finance.
Sessions are scheduled in Pacific time, usually evenings and weekends.
Yes. I work from your student's own syllabus, whatever the school.
No. I work from the teacher's materials and never complete graded work, so sessions support the class instead of replacing it.
Tutoring on concepts and practice problems is generally fine, but policies on graded work vary by course. I don't complete graded assignments. Check your syllabus's collaboration policy, and if you're unsure, ask your professor.
Tell me your course and what isn’t clicking. I’ll tell you honestly whether I can help.
