Public and independent schools here cover finance very differently. We work from your student's own course.
The newest AP course, with the first exam in May 2027. I've mapped all 5 units and 31 topics and built 940 practice questions.
Students home from SMU, UT Austin, and colleges across the country often bring their hardest class with them. Winter break and summer are the best time to fix corporate finance before the next exam, and I teach it at the level their course expects.
Students headed for McCombs, Cox, or Wharton benefit from corporate finance before they arrive. We start early.
Dallas families talk about deals and investments. We turn that into real finance: cash flow, risk, and valuation.
The new Texas course starts with budgeting, credit, and borrowing. We make sure the basics are solid.
Parents usually book, and your student joins on Zoom from Highland Park, University Park, Preston Hollow, or anywhere in Dallas. Send me the course and what's giving your student trouble, and I'll tell you honestly whether I can help.
Send me what you're stuck on: a problem set, slides, your last midterm, a practice exam, last week's quiz.
You walk me through a problem out loud. It usually takes a few minutes to hear where the reasoning goes sideways. We fix that piece and rebuild from there, so you know why each step works.
The real test: a fresh problem with new numbers and different wording, the way a midterm would ask it, and you solve it yourself. I don't complete assignments or hand over answers. You leave able to do the work.

I’m Chi Odogwu. I have a B.S. in Business with a finance specialization from Liberty University, earned summa cum laude in three years, and a Master’s in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis. I tutored IB students in grad school, did valuation and private equity consulting at PwC, taught MBA finance at Florida State, and spent three years as an adjunct professor teaching Business Finance.
Sessions are scheduled in Central time, usually evenings and weekends.
HB 27 covers public high schools. Private schools set their own courses, and I can help with those too.
No. I work from the teacher's materials and never complete graded work, so sessions support the class instead of replacing it.
Tutoring on concepts and practice problems is generally fine, but policies on graded work vary by course. I don't complete graded assignments. Check your syllabus's collaboration policy, and if you're unsure, ask your professor.
Tell me your course and what isn’t clicking. I’ll tell you honestly whether I can help.
