FIN 125 · Introduction to Finance
The first finance course. No prerequisite appears in the catalog entry.
FIN 125 Introduction to Finance is the first finance course in Lehigh's College of Business, and it leads to FIN 323 and FIN 328 Corporate Financial Policy, which add accounting, statistics, and calculus prerequisites. A shaky start in FIN 125 gets expensive later.

Three credits. Prerequisites: FIN 125, ACCT 151, a statistics course, and a calculus course. Open to sophomores.
Bring your slides, problem sets, and your last midterm. We work from your actual course.
FIN 125 is where the vocabulary and the math come together. We make sure the foundation is solid before FIN 328.
The next courses need accounting, statistics, and calculus. If those are weak, finance questions go wrong in ways that look like finance mistakes.
Many lost points come from setup, not understanding. We practice finding the unknown and checking the answer's size.
Send me what you're stuck on: a problem set, slides, your last midterm, a practice exam, last week's quiz.
You walk me through a problem out loud. It usually takes a few minutes to hear where the reasoning goes sideways. We fix that piece and rebuild from there, so you know why each step works.
The real test: a fresh problem with new numbers and different wording, the way a midterm would ask it, and you solve it yourself. I don't complete assignments or hand over answers. You leave able to do the work.

I’m Chi Odogwu. I have a B.S. in Business with a finance specialization from Liberty University, earned summa cum laude in three years, and a Master’s in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis. I tutored IB students in grad school, did valuation and private equity consulting at PwC, taught MBA finance at Florida State, and spent three years as an adjunct professor teaching Business Finance.
I could not confirm that from the catalog pages I could read, so check your program requirements.
The catalog lists FIN 125, ACCT 151, a statistics course, and a calculus course as prerequisites for FIN 328 and its companion FIN 323.
I could not find a published policy, so check your syllabus. We practice on the model your exams allow.
Tutoring on concepts and practice problems is generally fine, but policies on graded work vary by course. I don't complete graded assignments. Check your syllabus's collaboration policy, and if you're unsure, ask your professor.
Tell me your course and what isn’t clicking. I’ll tell you honestly whether I can help.
