Personal finance teaching resources and standards

Teachers and homeschool parents need lesson plans, assessments and standards. These collections offer them, and many students also use the same materials to study on their own.

Three first steps

  1. Check your state or school standards before choosing a program.
  2. Start with one unit instead of a full course.
  3. Register for the free educator account where one is needed.

Questions

Quick answers.

Do I need a teaching license to use these?

Usually not. Homeschool families use many of them, and each card notes account requirements.

Are the standards the same everywhere?

No. States set their own, so confirm what applies to you.

When a free resource is not enough

Help from a tutor who explains it clearly.

I tutor personal finance and AP Business with Personal Finance one-on-one on Zoom, for students and with parents in the loop. Bring the assignment or the practice test you missed, and we work from that.
