FIRE 311 Financial Management is the introduction to finance in VCU's School of Business core. The catalog says you learn to value financial assets, evaluate investment opportunities, weigh risk against return, and work out a firm's cost of capital.

The catalog describes the core principles and tools of financial management: valuing financial assets, evaluating investments, the trade-off between risk and return, and the firm's cost of capital. Prerequisites include MATH 200 or BUSN 212, an accounting course, and an economics course.

The real test: a fresh problem with new numbers and different wording, the way a midterm would ask it, and you solve it yourself. I don't complete assignments or hand over answers. You leave able to do the work.

No. Send me the exam and I will mark where the points went. Most are lost on setups and wording, which are fixable before the next exam or the final. I can't promise a grade, but there is almost always a clear pattern.
I could not find a published calculator policy for the course, so check your syllabus. Some finance courses require a financial calculator and others allow only a scientific one, and we practice on the model you will bring.
