FIN 305 Fundamentals of Finance is where Colorado State students meet the role of finance in managing a firm, how financial markets and institutions are built, and how basic securities are valued. It sits behind an accounting course, and the catalog won't give you credit for both FIN 300 and FIN 305.

The catalog puts financial markets and institutions next to valuation. Students prepared for a calculation course are surprised by the descriptive material, so we cover how the system fits together as well as how to value a security.

No. Send me the exam and I will mark where the points went. Most are lost on setups and wording, which are fixable before the next exam or the final. I can't promise a grade, but there is almost always a clear pattern.
I could not find a published calculator policy for the course, so check your syllabus. Some finance courses require a financial calculator and others allow only a scientific one, and we practice on the model you will bring.
FIN 305 is the fundamentals course in the Colorado State catalog, with ACT 205 or 210 as the prerequisite. Check your degree requirements for your own major, and bring the course to me either way.
Tutoring on concepts and practice problems is generally fine, but policies on graded work vary by course. I don't complete graded assignments. Check your syllabus's collaboration policy, and if you're unsure, ask your professor.
