The catalog asks for a C or better in all the tracking courses, which include accounting, economics, communication, writing, management, math, and statistics. Registration is restricted to Haslam College of Business majors.
The word survey matters: the course covers a lot of ground quickly, so the difficulty is breadth, not any one topic.
The valuation and cost-of-capital basics below are the base for all three functions.

A survey course moves fast across investment, financing, and asset management. We organize the topics into one map so you can place each new idea on it.
Because so many tracking courses need a C or better, you arrive with strong habits but maybe a gap from a few terms ago. We refresh the math and accounting you need.
Investment, financing, and asset management are the catalog's three functions. Exams ask which one a situation belongs to, so we practice sorting them.
FINC 301 is restricted to majors in the Haslam College of Business, so it's a business-student course at Tennessee. Your degree plan shows how it fits your major.
Send me what you're stuck on: a problem set, slides, your last midterm, a practice exam, last week's quiz.
You walk me through a problem out loud. It usually takes a few minutes to hear where the reasoning goes sideways. We fix that piece and rebuild from there, so you know why each step works.
The real test: a fresh problem with new numbers and different wording, the way a midterm would ask it, and you solve it yourself. I don't complete assignments or hand over answers. You leave able to do the work.

A survey, so both. Expect to explain what each function of the firm does as well as compute.
Tutoring on concepts and practice problems is generally fine, but policies on graded work vary by course. I don't complete graded assignments. Check your syllabus's collaboration policy, and if you're unsure, ask your professor.
Tell me your course and what isn’t clicking. I’ll tell you honestly whether I can help.
